Jesus encourages us to build our house on rock. The house he is speaking about is our spiritual life. Early in his first letter to the Corinthians St Paul declares, “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. His example is the way. His teaching is the truth. He is our Life especially through the Sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist.
