Grandparents feast day

Joachim and Anne, parents of Mary, grandparents of Jesus. We know little about them. This feast day should remind us of how important grandparents are. Some raise their grandchildren. Some care for them several days each week. Some do not see the children often. I am lucky to have them available - to enjoy their loveliness - and their naughtiness! Have you, like me, been fortunate to enjoy good times with grandchildren? Shall we thank you for that God? And is today a reminder to all of us to recall the virtues we received through our grandparents?
