Be happy of heart

The pursuit of perfection is a journey that begins and ends in God. So often we seek perfection in finite things -- marriage, career, house, parish, religious community, etc and in the end we are always disappointed and feel our efforts are not appreciated by others. Here Jesus says perfection is sincerely sought when we love like God loves. Baptism sets me on the path to perfection, conversion life keeps me on it and keeps me pointed towards God’s perfection. My heart will be happy if I seek perfection in the right place.
