Men and women

Lydia from Thyatira was a woman seeking truth and life and was a member of a women’s group who met on a regular basis. Paul’s faith and message connected with her and so she asked him to baptize not just her but everyone in her home. He did. She then provided hospitality for him and became recognized as a leader of her house church in Phillipi. Our church faces challenging times regarding the respective roles of men and women.
