Isaiah 50:4-7, Philip 2:6-11, Matt 26:14-27:66

To the glory of the Father

Today, we join the crowds as they hold palms and bend the knee in honour of Jesus and celebrate his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. But a triumphal arrival in Jerusalem was never part of Jesus’ plan. His journey was always to be a journey to Calvary and to his death on the cross. His purpose was to die for our sins so that we may be saved. And the only homage Jesus sought was the glory of God the Father. Let us honour him today and give glory with him to the Father.
