James 1:12-18; Ps 94; Mark 8:14-21

Learn the lesson

The first reading and the psalm tell us that only good comes from God and he will not abandon us. In the boat, Jesus warns about evil, but the disciples worry because they don’t have enough bread. Jesus reminds them that twice he had multiplied the bread to fulfill the need of the people, and seems to be frustrated that they haven’t learned the lesson of history.
