Forgiveness

Again and again Jesus urges us to do more than obey the law. We must obey the spirit of the law as well. Intent to sin is as bad as the sin itself. The hardest injunction to take is the need to forgive those that have hurt us before we come to the altar. Some hurts can linger, fester, burn deep for a lifetime. The longer we hold the hurt the harder it is to forgive. We can forgive in our hearts only by his grace.

But can you ask for it?
