A new year’s prayer

What better way to end one year and to begin another than to reflect on the great Prologue to St John’s Gospel? So profound! Such theological and spiritual richness on which to reflect and pray. For example, “The Word became flesh … full of grace and truth”. “Grace” – the undeserved love and forgiveness which we each receive from God through Jesus Christ. “Truth” of which Jesus is himself the embodiment. May all of us be filled with this “grace” and guided by this “truth” in all our words and actions in the year which is about to begin.
