Feel the love!

Reassuring as it is to feel part of Christ’s flock, part of a community collectively loved, protected and cared for by Jesus as its shepherd, there is nothing quite like the experience of feeling personally and individually loved by God just as yourself. The lost sheep would have experienced that individual love and care. I might be one of seven billion people, all of whom are loved by God, but I am also one person, individually and intimately known and loved by God. Yes, we know, in our heads, that God loves each of us, but have you ever experienced God’s love, for you and you only, in your heart?
