Lost and found

We know the experience of losing what is precious to us: even simple things like a beloved animal, or [the ever necessary] money: and we know the experience of joy when we find the animal, or the money we have lost. Imagine then the sorrow of God when he loses us – who are most precious to him. He goes on a search - to find and restore. And when he finds and restores the image of himself – the human person – then he and the angels rejoice. When we have been found and restored, he calls us to be part of his mission: not to judge and condemn the lost, but to find and restore them to the Family of God.
