Childlike or childish?

Watching children play, sing, dance and laugh brings joy, but here Luke is referring to childish petulance. Small children can be taught how to arrive at logical conclusions. The Jewish people arrived at two wrong conclusions, about John and Jesus. They clearly needed to be re-taught their own Law, this time from the Master. We too need to be re-taught, so that the Word becomes living and active.

Lord, make me feed on the Word of Life.
