Leave room for God

It is a salutary reminder in Christian discipleship that being busy does not always please God. As a busy person I may feel virtuous but leave no room for God to get to know me in a way that makes my activity his activity too. The one thing necessary is love. Mary knows this, Martha is still learning about it. Lazing around with God in prayer teaches me aspects of love which not only become part of my service but become deeply rooted in my personhood.
