Contemplating mystery

Here we are told that the innocence and trust of childhood have a place in adult faith. They do not come easily to adult faith because the world finds them irrelevant and useless. God is something of a mystery and without entering his mystery my faith life may be relevant to the world but uninteresting. A good way to invite God’s mystery into my life is to pare down the pastoral activities that do not need trust and innocence before God and nurture the ones that do.
