A covenant of Spirit

Surfer Bethany Hamilton lost an arm in a shark attack. After a surf competition, she was asked that if she could go back to that day, would she go surfing.

“No. I wouldn’t change a thing because then I wouldn’t be here talking to you. I can embrace more people now than I could with two arms.”

Do we dwell in the past?

Do we suffocate our lives with hindsight?

Do we seek the comfort of old ways?

Is this a way of fear?

Perhaps we need to liberate the indwelling spirit and reveal God in our unpredictable, unexpected, ordinary lives.
