Acts 13:44-52, Ps 96, John 15:12-17

The Advocate

Jesus promised the Holy Spirit, and he came to them at Pentecost. That same Holy Spirit told Paul that the cripple had enough faith to be cured, and enabled Paul to cure him. Yet Paul found it difficult to convince the crowd that he was not a pagan god. This passage could be seen as a warning to not mistake God for anything else, or to put anything else before God. Do you ever do that? Lord, help me to see you in everything.
