There is no doubt that Stephen exercised many spiritual gifts when confronting the Sanhedrin. Some would say that the closer we are to God in prayer, the more we are able to exercise our own spiritual gifts. Stephen had courage in abundance that day, but he was given the words to say and the vision to relate. Can we be as close to God in prayer when we need to be? Lord, help us to pray.
