Psalm 98, Apocalypse 15: 1-4, Luke 21: 12-19

Blessed assurance

These “arrests and trials” that Jesus speaks of, have already happened, However, mindful of coming tribulations, he counters our human reactions by telling us to regard them instead as chances to witness to him. He regularly dumbfounded his tormentors. Saints and saintly people have often reported of drawing on previously unknown reserves under duress. Sometimes, even silence. Only an unjust Father would expect his children to confront these trials, without giving them the assurance that they will not be harmed.

Hallelujah my Father, for giving us Your Son.
