Five barley loaves and two fish

Imagine that small boy with his meagre supply of food. Surely only a child would consider offering such a small quantity, seeing the vast crowd of people to be fed. What did he think, I wonder, seeing his loaves and fishes feed so many? He was amazed and delighted I am sure, but probably accepted it easily enough, as children do, still living in a world of wonders, where miracles are perfectly possible.

Lets pray for his simple, generous faith, and not be afraid to offer what we have, no matter how small and seemingly useless, in the service of others.
