Hosea 14:2-10, Ps.51, Matthew 10:16-23

No easy promises.

Jesus was always honest. He didn’t promise his disciples an easy time, and he doesn’t promise us one either. What he does promise is that we will never have to face our troubles alone. Jesus will never leave us, and his Holy Spirit will always guide us. Not easy to believe when troubles come and all the world seems against us, yet it is the truth. Could we pray today for all those who are suffering, and for whom God seems far away. May they know the presence of Jesus and the help of the Holy Spirit in their need.
