A mixed bag!

What an extraordinarily mixed lot the first disciples were! Fishermen, tax collectors, freedom fighters – who knows what else? Mixed characters too, some timid, some doubtful, some positively belligerent at times. Just one thing they had in common, their love for and faith in Jesus, and their willingness to follow him.

The Church today is just as strange a mixture, and its members have the same thing in common. Could we pray for the understanding and tolerance necessary as we work together to the same end.
