Spring is near

Mary,
So near, his coming
like a gazelle, leaping for joy
he who is Spring to my frozen soul
causing fresh growth
teaching new songs
Mary,
Bringing spirit of Spring
to your cousin,
rejoicing together
in the new life in your wombs.
Mary,
My lovely one,
give me fresh eyes to see
ears to hear, mouth to sing
and in my heart a deepening
of love, faith and hope
