Dan 7:9-10,13-14, Ps118, John 1:47-51

Angels

Today’s feast is a reminder that this material world in which we live is only part of a much greater reality, a spiritual world of which we, as yet, know little. St Paul warns us “for it is not against human enemies that we have to struggle but against the principalities and ruling forces ...” (Eph 5:12). Angels are God’s servants and messengers in the world of the spirit. The Catholic Catechism teaches “the whole life of the Church benefits from the mysterious and powerful help of Angels” (334). Ss Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, pray for us.
