Growth pains

Growth is not easy. It requires change and change is challenging. The seed of the word that God plants in us needs to take root. But demands such as the modern lifestyle or peer pressure are able to push it out of our mind. The seed withers and dies. Plants require water in order to grow. I need to find ways to nurture the word in me. At times we are so busy with various responsibilities and engagements that there is no time to pause, reflect and pray. This chokes attention to God’s word. Let me make space today.
