Astonishing!

In the early times, the leaders and prophets were given strength for their tasks through their faith and hope in God, even though many lost their lives through torture and imprisonment. Paul calls them ‘heroes of faith’. Jesus’ disciples learned courage though seeing Jesus drive the unclean spirit out of the man who became rational and calm. The people were astonished and afraid and wanted Jesus to leave their neighbourhood. The man who was cured wanted to stay with Jesus who told him to go home and tell his people what Jesus in his mercy had done for him. “God has visited his people.” Where and when do I see the presence of Jesus in my community?
