Saint Agnes, Martyr

Hebrews 9: 2-3, 11-14; Psalm 47:2-3, 6-9; Mark 3: 20-21

Faithful

Today we celebrate St Agnes, a young girl martyred in third century Rome because of her faith. She is the patron saint of engaged couples, victims of sexual abuse and gardeners. Let us today pray for those who have been harmed by the actions of others that they will know the wholesome goodness of people who walk alongside them on their healing journey. Let us pray for the Church all over the world that it will be healed from the wounds of sexual abuse inflicted on many of its people.
