Truly God and truly human

Jesus, the son of God, was born into our world. He became fully human and, though divine, he lived among the people of his day as one of them. Jesus’ public ministry was characterised by compassion and healing. He gave his life so that we may have life. How can we respond to such a gracious action? ‘Thank you’ could be a suitable prayer followed by action – that of living our lives as Jesus lived his life – full of compassionate love, mercy and kindness. In the words of the psalmist “Consider the Lord and his strength; constantly seek his face.”
