The Word made flesh

There are the familiar signs and symbols that manifest the coming of Jesus Christ into our world – the star in the East, the three wise men who followed its rising and came to Jesus’ birthplace in Bethlehem, the gifts they brought to pay Jesus homage. Isaiah foretells that Christ’s coming into our world brings light to the darkness, fullness to our hearts, and a desire to care for each other as we come together in Christ. As Paul tells us, we are all part of the same body. Let us be alive today to signs of Jesus’ being ever-present among us.
