God’s weird ways.

The intervention of God in history in the story of John the Baptist is a reminder of God truly working in our world and daily lives to fulfil his plans and designs. A symbol of this is a new name unheard of in the family of Zechariah. Something new is happening directly from God. And just to make sure things will go to plan Zechariah, who was an important High Priest of the temple, was to be kept silent and unable to speak. Perhaps today we can ponder our life experience and remember again weird events and experiences that have shown us God is at work in our lives.
