Recognising prophets

As we prepare our hearts and minds to welcome Jesus at Christmas, Jesus shares that great prophets (Elijah and John the Baptist) weren’t recognised and even badly treated. Today we might like to reflect on those who have spoken words of comfort and challenge to me. Who has witnessed God’s love in my life? Whose life do I think of as showing God breaking into our world - and my life - proclaiming God is real? Who has ‘enfleshed’ (put skin on) God for me?
