Stand firm

We began with Luke 21 yesterday and now the mood of the rest of the chapter changes. Jesus speaks of the unimaginable. That the temple will be destroyed. Then he warns the disciples not to be deceived and also not to fear. He is calling them to stand firm in belief in spite of all the things that will happen. It is the same in our lives. Disasters and the unexpected can happen to us. It is then that we know where we will receive our strength – it is when our hearts are centred on God.
