Philippians 3:3-8; Ps 105:2-7; Luke 15:1-10.

The search.

Paul speaks to the Philippians about when he was a Pharisee and that how, according to the law, he was faultless. But then when he came to know Christ he knew in his heart that nothing could surpass the knowledge of knowing Christ and he was wholehearted in his response. The gospel today is about searching for what is lost, or we could say searching for what is important in life and letting go of the things that hold us back. Jesus does not give up on us even when we stray.
