Investing well

Here is another instance of storing up treasure in heaven (Lk 12:33). Love and care for the those who cannot or will not reciprocate is not a favour wasted. Rather, it is an investment that will pay with interest much later. That hospitality will be returned when it really matters - when we come into God’s kingdom. A similar saying runs: ‘What you give away to the poor is what you take with you when you die.’
