The door and the house

Our lives have a beginning, middle and end. Time is sufficient but not endless. The ‘door’ is narrow – in Luke there is no ‘wide’ option. We should not leave our entry till the last minute. The image then changes to a guesthouse. It too is open only for a while. It would be very foolish to dally and then arrive too late. Conversion (baptism) and an effort to live accordingly (good works) are part of entering that door and belonging in that house.
