Following Jesus

The capacity to be changed in how we think, speak and act – changed by God’s love – this brings growth in our lives as Christians. In today’s Gospel passage we encounter three potentially willing disciples, two who offer to follow and one whom Jesus invites. But for reasons given they do not promptly join the disciples. Perhaps they had second thoughts – which would mean a change in their lives. And growth in what they might do

For us it might mean: ‘I am willing, Lord, but strengthen and encourage me.’ Let our thoughts be guided by the Holy Spirit
