In the southern hemisphere spring has arrived – more growth, more green leaves. Note Paul’s use of yeast, of leaven as an image of disciples making themselves into sincere and truthful people. It will affect the community of Christians; goodness is contagious. Jesus is recorded as the healer of a withered right hand for the good of the man and of his community
