Often, we kid ourselves that we are trusting in the Lord when in fact we are trusting in ourselves, in our own abilities or in the resources at our command. The realisation of our own incapacity and the absence of any visible help can help us turn to the Lord in our poverty. When was the last time I really put my trust in Him?
