The potter and the clay

Jeremiah compares God’s work in us to the shaping of a vessel by the potter. God wishes to mould us, create and re-create us so that we might become more useful instruments of his love. Are we attentive to God’s continuing creative work in our lives? How often do we turn away from the promptings of his Spirit in our lives? God cannot mould us and use us unless we give him our full-hearted cooperation.
