Making connections

All the petitionary prayer we offer will go unanswered if we do not ask for it in Jesus Christ’s name. We do this, of course, in liturgy. Outside of that formality, routine petitionary prayer is very much connected to the way I live my faith life. My life itself ought to be petitionary. If I am aware daily of my dependence on God’s grace for my survival then, of itself, my life will ask for things in Jesus Christ’s name without the formal words of liturgy. Think about making my life/my petitioning prayer connections today.
