Staying in love

Remaining in Jesus Christ’s love enables me to rise above my pride, to reach out across barriers to others ‘in’ love and with love. This first sort of love is contemplative, the second active. I need both to keep the commandments and to keep them alive in me for others who may not know them. This is so much more than joyless rule keeping. Jesus Christ’s joy in me and my joy in being his disciple will come to completion in me if I remain in his love. Do I want to?
