Lighting a candle

Jesus Christ as the light of the world is a comforting thought for Catholics in these darkish times. The world tells us that coming into the light of Jesus Christ is not a worthwhile undertaking. Yet this is what Jesus Christ wants me to do….today. The naughty things that go on in darkness are things I must move away from. Choosing to speak the words of love to another person when I want to judge and criticise them, lights a little candle in that person’s heart as well as my own. Can I do this today?
