Simplicity or complexity

Truly following Jesus Christ is a simple way of life, like sheep following a shepherd. Jesus wants this simple faith for me. I tend to make my discipleship complex and thus miss the contemplative activity of being drawn more nearly into the Father’s love. Growing with Jesus in the Father’s love means both being led like a sheep and simply shepherding those whom God has given me, especially my children. Help me to simplify my life, Lord.
