Spiritual hunger

How hungry am I for the Word, for the Eucharist? Converts have a hunger for the Eucharist. A lifetime of Catholic routine can dull this spiritual hunger. Jesus is unequivocal here. If I have enough hungry love for him, I will taste, chew and swallow him down into my very being. In that action I will have life, the sort of life that makes a difference in the world and in heaven. Such hungry activity around the Eucharist will bear fruit in my life, which in time, if it is God’s will, I will come to realise.
