Pray for peace

Today we remember those NZ Servicemen and Servicewomen who died in wartime, in efforts to gain or maintain peace. Many went, knowing death or serious injury was a threat, but hoping not. Many families grieved at the death of their kin.

We are mindful of Wisdom – “the souls of the virtuous are in the hands of God…they are at peace.” And Jesus reminds us, “If anyone serves me, then my Father will honour that person.” We pray for our fallen, and we pray for peace.
