EASTER OCTAVE

Acts 3:1-10; Psalm 105; Luke 24:13-35

Open my mind!

The two disciples walk home to Emmaus, chatting and sharing their disappointment at the death of Jesus. And then, unbeknown to them, Jesus is with them. They express their disappointment to this stranger, and listen to his explanation of the Scriptures. They continue their hospitality by inviting him to eat with them. And their eyes, hearts and minds are opened as they recognise him. Let us be attentive to Jesus, spending time with him, letting him nourish us in His Word and the gift of Himself.
