Be thankful for God’s love

The man Jesus heals in the Pool of Bethseda reminds us of ourselves. It shows the goodness and mercy of God coming up against our ingratitude, our complaints, our distrust, our betrayal, and our sinfulness. But God still loves this man anyway and cures him. Jesus warns the man, you’re on thin ice if you keep sinning like before, now you have been cured. There doesn’t seem to be an ounce of gratefulness in this old man. God, for loving everyone, we give you thanks. Help us to be more thankful for your love.
