ST PATRICK

Psalm 106; Jeremiah 1:4-9; Acts 13:46-49; Luke 10:1-12,17-20

The joy of heaven

St Patrick, in the fifth century, brought Christianity to the Irish and his feast day brings out the green fun in us. We remember St Patrick for explaining the Holy Trinity with a shamrock leaf. In Luke, when the 72 disciples return to Jesus, I can’t decide if Jesus is smiling at them or admonishing them. Either way, Jesus puts everything into perspective. As exciting as it was to serve Jesus, cure the sick and exorcise demons, true joy comes from going to heaven. Amen to that.
