Love with compassion

In Daniel, the people have turned their backs on God, on the prophets and on obeying God’s laws. Daniel offers a contrite confession, seeking God’s forgiveness. We need God’s forgiveness. We also want a merciful God who will call our name, come running towards us and welcome us into the folds of his love. In Luke, Jesus tells us to be like the compassionate Father; it’s beyond following rules and commands. It’s about having love for others, by showing compassion, being non-judgemental, and non-condemning. I am sure God follows our progress with many graces.
