Lenten guide-lines

Lent already! What can I give up this year? What can I do to be a better Christian? The beautiful words of Psalm 51 give us words of contrition to pray. “God, create in me a clean heart.” “In your great tenderness wipe away my offences.” Joel urges us to turn our hearts to God because he is “gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, rich in faithful love.” With alms-giving and fasting, we are encouraged to do so quietly and without fuss. God bless you on your Lenten journey.
