Follow me

Today, in the Gospel of Mark, Jesus asks the young man to sell everything and follow him. He cannot do it because he is a rich man. We all set limits on what we feel we can do in our following of Christ. It can be from our sinfulness or sometimes just plain old human weakness. The Lord understands this but he calls us each day and says – “follow me, give yourselves to me.” The things of this world fade and die, but he has the words of everlasting life.
