A good challenge

In living a comfortable life, our faith can also become comfortable and cease to challenge us. The readings today are a challenge. St James tells us to live justly and treat others well. Jesus tells us we must give all of ourselves to God and do away with those things which lead us astray. As in many other areas of life, this wake-up call is good for us. It helps us to see that our lives and the lives of others find their right balance when we understand how God wants us to live.
